Sometimes I ask myself if Google is the next Microsoft. I’ve seen a lot of Google’s Products and wondered about this. I think that Gmail is the best thing that’s out their so far. Gmail does offer some features that Hotmail does not offer (like POP and IMAP access). Also the Gmail home page has the “What’s New” section visible. Hotmail does not seem to show a list of new features. I’ll have to say that I have had some spam to come through Hotmail when I had an account with them. Although Hotmail will work with Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail, it will not work for other devices because of the lack of POP and IMAP access. So, I will have to say that in my opinion, Google has Microsoft beat .
